Heard the rumor, now the tweets have filled in several blanks. First, it appears that Ralph Richards, who joined the Billiken’s from Carmel United (IN) a year ago, has not been retained by new head coach Katie Shields.

Ralph has landed on his feet, having joined St Louis Scott Gallagher early in his move here, a common model for assistant coaches to supplement their income as well as establish contacts within the local community. More specifically, it appears he will be handling the new Spring High School girls team that SLSG has assembled, offering a year round playing option yet again for the girls.

although only to the High School age girls he’s been working with. He should continue his relationship with SLSG but with the younger age groups as NCAA rules don’t allow him to coach the older girls. By the way, the photo is from two weeks ago and features Vince with Lori Chalupny, in here Washington University Bears coaching gear, during an ECNL match against the MN Thunder Academy. I’ll get a better one of Vince this Spring on the sidelines at SLU.
