The MAC High School Senior All-Star game held on Saturday finished 6-4 in the North’s favor. Details can be found in the P-D story.
Keegan Fouch of Howell North was named the North MVP for his play while Adam Michel of Vianney was named MVP of the South squad. Adam will play at Rockhurst in the Fall. As a point of reference, Adam would have received my vote for the All-Metro player of the Year in 2013 if the P-D accepted my vote.
The North now leads the South 20-7-4 and has won 11 of the last 13 years.
In addition, St Dominic GK Logan Feldmann, also headed for Rockhurst University, was named the Sam Copple Goalkeeper of the Year. Sam Copple, formerly of University City, was active in soccer here for 50 years as a player and coach. For that accomplishment, he received the Gold Boot Award from the Catholic Youth Council in 1993. He participated in the Senior Olympics and volunteered for the Special Olympics, the Missouri Athletic Club Sports Foundation Soccer Committee and at Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital.
Steven May of Affton was awarded a $1000 college scholarship which he will use as he pursues a pre-med degree this Fall. UMB presents the $1,000 scholarship to a male and female all-star for academic achievement and community service.Dick Westbrook, long-time Coach for the Visistation Vivettes was recognized with the Steve Krause award. It is named after former MAC Soccer chairman Steve Krause. It is presented to individuals in recognition of support of high school soccer.

Fouch, a recent Francis Howell North graduate, let loose a monster one-time shot from near the top of the box to draw the North team even with the South late in the first half Saturday of the 30th Missouri Athletic Club Senior Boys All-Star Game at the Soccer Park. The North would win the match 6-4 and Fouch was selected as the North side’s Most Valuable Player.
