The US Women’s National Team has two prep games scheduled before they head to Rio for the 2016 Olympics. The first game is Friday against South Africa. Game time is noon and it’s on FS1. You can still get tickets for the match against Costa Rica in Kansas City on July 22nd. I’ll be there!

Congratulations to Mehlville alum Emir Alihodzic, who scored his first professional goal last night for the Seattle Sounders 2 USL side. It came against Saint Louis FC in their 1-1 draw. Check out his bio and video of his goal.

After an easy 3-0 win in early May at WWT Soccer Park, Saint Louis FC traveled to Swope Park where they lost 0-1 on a goal scored 65 seconds into the match.

Returning home Wednesday, they scored in the 86th minute to tie Seattle Sounders 2 1-1 and maintain their undefeated record at home. They host FC Cincinnati on Saturday.

The second semifinal at the 2016 European Championships is today at 2pm. Catch Germany vs France on ESPN. The Final, which will feature Portugal vs today’s winner, is Sunday at 2pm. Make your plans!

France’s favorite player according to a recent poll is Antoine Griezmann. Great story on the kid who was rejected in France for being too small as a youngster, now he leads Les Blues!
