The English Premier League returned last week and this week they introduce their new Friday Evening (Afternoon) game. It features Manchester United hosting Southampton, the home opener for the team and their new coach Jose Mourinho. You can find the matches that will be available on broadcast TV in the tables below. For the full list of games, visit my Soccer On TV Calendar

For a look at the first weeks EPL games, and the results achieved by the seven new managers check out the report from NBC Sports who also dive into Liverpool’s win over Arsenal. Speaking of which, Arsenal face Leicester late Saturday morning on CNBC. Should be quite a match after both lost their opening matches last weekend.

La Liga and Ligue 1 both open and I’m tracking the top teams in those leagues for our viewing pleasure.

And of course, the Rio Olympic games have reached the medal matches. Catch the women today (Friday) and the men Saturday. The Men’s gold medal match features Germany vs Brazil and the stories are focusing on Brazil’s desire to restore pride following the World Cup loss to Germany.

Finally, some interesting Major League Soccer and College matches are included. If the rain comes as forecast for Saturday, you can see New York City FC vs LA Galaxy, a possible MLS Final match up. There’s also a Cascadia Cup match up on Sunday evening as Portland visits Seattle. The Timbers hold the final playoff spot in the West while Seattle is showing new life with the removal of Sigi Schmid. I personally love the late West Coast games as a way to end my weekend. I’ll be watching!
