Soccer on TV – US Open Cup, Champions League Returns

The 2016 Lamar Hunt US Open Cup Final takes place on Tuesday. FC Dallas will host the New England Revolution in the conclusion of this year’s edition of the nation’s oldest tournament (9 pm CT, ESPN2).

The single-elimination tournament is contested separately from MLS play, with teams from every level of American soccer eligible to compete. The place for news on the Open Cup is TheCup.US Add them to your bookmarks (like this site!)

As for the Champions League it has reached Group Play with eight matches to be played on both Tuesday and Wednesday this week. TV is available for all except one on Tuesday (I don’t think you’ll miss it). The games are listed below along with some others of interest such as the on-going CONCACAF Champions League, a Europa League game Thursday featuring Manchester United and Chelsea v Liverpool Friday in the new EPL Friday game.

Some NCAA games of note I’ve included below include SEMO v Kentucky on Wednesday, Mizzou v Tennessee on Thursday and three games on Friday with local ties.

And of course, don’t forget the US Women’s National team returns to the pitch on Thursday with a friendly against Thailand.
