The Missouri High School Soccer Coaches Association (MSHSSCA) have released their First regular season poll of the season.

The Angels, who seem to be rounding into form following their weekend at the Parkway Showcase and last nights 2-0 win over Eurka, look to return to the State Final 4 for the sixth straight year.

Class 4
Rank Team Record Points Previous
1 St Joseph's (9) 3-1 117
2 Blue Springs South (1) 5-0 89
3 Nerinx Hall (2) 5-0 88
4 Eureka 4-1 84
5 Lee's Summit North 4-1 78
6 Park Hill 4-1-1 58
7 St Teresa's 2-2 42
8 Hickman 5-1-1 25
9 Lee's Summit West 3-1 23
10 Jackson 6-1 19

Others: Ozark 10, Rock Bridge 10, Liberty North 7, Cor Jesu 5, Troy 4, Lee’s Summit 2, Nixa 1

The State Champions open the season atop the poll while Summit and Webster Groves, who will meet on April 18th at Summit as well as in the District 3 final likely, will then look to Westminster (or late season Visitation) in the Sectional.

Class 3
Rank Team Record Points Previous
1 Notre Dame de Sion (6) 5-0 75
2 Summit (2) 5-0 74
3 Webster Groves 5-0 64
4 Incarnate Word 6-1 57
5 Westminster 4-0 39
6 Grain Valley 5-2 30
7 Ladue 5-2 25
8 St. Dominic 3-2 23
9 Washington 7-1-1 21
10 Rolla 4-1-1 15

Others: Villa Duchesne 13, Union 4

Voters are underestimating the defending champion Duchesne Pioneers early but that’s OK. The Warriors of St. Charles West have a fine start under their belt, losing only to Class 3 Zumwalt South in late March. They’ll face likely Quarterfinal foe Duchesne on May 1st.

Class 2
Rank Team Record Points Previous
1 St. Charles West (3) 5-1 118
2 Springfield Catholic (6) 6-0-1 118
3 Cape Notre Dame (2) 4-0 100
4 Rosati-Kain (1) 4-1 85
5 Duchesne 2-2 72
6 Pleasant Hill (2) 5-0 66
7 Boonville 3-1 54
8 Pembroke Hill 2-2 52
9 Southern Boone 4-0-1 32
10 St. Pius (Festus) 5-1 20

Others: O’Fallon Christian 18, St. Pius (KC) 12, StL Notre Dame 7, Bishop DuBourg 5, Tolton Catholic 5, Maryville 3, Lutheran SC 3

Summit Christian lost to Trinity in the State semifinals last June, when Saxony went on to win the title for the second straight year (after Duchesne moved up to Class 2 in the new four class alignment). The usual suspects abound.

Class 1
Rank Team Record Points
1 Summit Christian (5) 6-1 43
2 Saxony Lutheran (2) 4-5 31
3 St Vincent 4-3 31
4 Kelly (3) 7-2 27
5 KC Lutheran 2-4 7

Others: Bishop LeBlond 5, Barstow 5, Lone Jack 1
