The 5-day residential Region II Girls ODP ID Camp is a unique opportunity for invited players to train and compete with the top players in Region II (Midwest) and be trained by high level licensed coaches, including exposure to college coaches for the next level. The event includes the 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003 & 2004 age groups. The Girls ID Camp opens Tuesday July 11 and runs through July 15.
Brianna Hatfield (Alton/SLSG) talked to me about her experience at the Thanksgiving ODP Inter-Regional event last November. Bri’s Region II ODP Experience. She’s headed to Florida Gulf Coast University next Fall (2018).
Players will also have the opportunity to be identified for future ODP Region II events such as the Inter-Regional event Brianna participated in. If you have updates to provide (such as your daughter’s high school so I can better follow them going forward) use my Contact Form

Thought I’d bring back an ODP interview from a few years back. Kasey Opfer (on right in video) is now playing at Iowa State following her high school career at Glendale in Springfield. You may have seen her working as an Intern at STLFC matches this Summer or caught her playing for the semi-pro women’s team here in St. Louis, Fire and Ice, who are undefeated and next play at home July 22nd as they host the Central Region playoffs. She enjoyed ODP!
From the boy’s side, an interview I shared with Tristan Stotler (Farmington/Lou Fusz Geerling) offered this Bottom line – the competition and the opportunity to be seen by the different college coaches and National Team scouts that are part of the events. Tristan competes for Lou Fusz Geerling which has been part of National League the past two years as well as making multiple trips to the Region II Tournament via their success competing in the Midwest Regional League. Yet there are still growth opportunities for him via first, the Missouri ODP program and progressing up the ladder from there as he has.
Boys and Girls ODP will begin in the Late Summer or early Fall with tryouts and practices. Check out the MissouriSoccer.org website to learn more.
The US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program (ODP) is the original Olympic development program. With programs in all 55 US Youth Soccer State Associations, it is available to any player. US Youth Soccer ODP is the only elite player development program that can claim members of Major League Soccer and the National Women’s Soccer League, as well as the majority of current and past national and youth national team members, as alumni.
In Region II, ODP is an identifying program of choice for players and coaches with a focus on development. Contact your State Association for more information on tryouts and state programming which are pathways to participation in ODP Region II.
