The UEFA Women’s European Championship 2017 kicks off in the Netherlands on 16 July. The expanded 16-team tournament can be seen in the US on ESPN3 with the Final being broadcast on ESPNU. I’ve included the first round of group action in the calendar below so you can see what countries are represented, as well as the schedule for the Final. You can find all of the games in my Soccer on TV calendar that can also be found in the footer of my website.
Germany have won the past six tournaments, beating Norway in 2013, England in 2009 and Norway in 2005. As hosts, Netherlands joins the other 15 qualifiers. There are four groups of four teams, with the top two from each section proceeding to the quarter-finals, when the competition is a straight knockout.
