The Maryville Saints opened the scoring in the 16th minute as JD Sohn found the net on a breakaway to give the Saints an early 1-0 advantage. Schafer added what proved to be the game winner in the 63rd minute as he knocked a header into the goal off a free kick (video below) from Gavino Carranza to stake the Saints to a 2-0 lead. The Hawks scored their only goal of the match on a penalty kick in the 70th minute (also in the video) as the Saints defense held Quincy to only two shots over the last 20 minutes of action.

The Saints had two St. Louis players in their lineup, Sr Bill Stimac (featured in the photo above) at centerback who played the full 90 I believe and Sr. Sam Scoles (CBC) who came on as a substitute.
