Monday the SC STL ownership group gathered with MLS Commissioner Don Garber and ESPN analyst and St. Louis native Taylor Twellman for an MLS2STL Fan Event to rally fans to get out the vote for Proposition’s 1 and 2 on the City of St. Louis ballot next week (April 4th).

The day began with a press conference at the offices of FleishmanHillard and continued with a Fan Festival at Ball Park Village. The press first heard Taylor Twellman share his passionate support of the proposal for #MLS2STL. It’s a voice that has been missing in the run up to the election, one that touched on the emotions that can bring voters to the polls rather than the dry facts that have been reiterated. Twellman duplicated this effort at the Fan Event later that evening and along with the words of a Boys & Girls Club representative that earned the most attention. See Taylor’s comments in my video just below.
Alternately, if you’ve heard about the awkward exchange between P-D writer Jose de Jesus Ortiz and primary owner Paul Edgerly, I’ve got that video as well so you can make your own determination. It’s at the bottom of this page.

Finally, the best discussion I’ve heard on the Stadium Pro and Cons was done by St. Louis Public Radio. Check out the audio discussion of Proposition 2 at STLpublicRadio Also worth reviewing are their articles related to MLS
UPDATE – STL Public Radio also covered the Community Benefits Agreement press conference that promises millions of dollars for more than a dozen organizations and initiatives
By the way, the Post-Dispatch has come out against BOTH Proposition 1 and Proposition 2
Tale of two #mls2stl campaigns.
