The All-Rush Team is designed to honor a High School Senior male and female player from each Rush club. Recipients are selected by their club’s Technical Director and are nominated based on several criteria, including their on field abilities, community service, academics and representation of the Rush Core Values. Macie Sommer (Warrenton) is the female representative for Missouri Rush.
Macie has been a member of Missouri Rush for 4 years, playing for the Menendez squad that won the National President’s Cup title as U16’s the Summer of 2015. The picture above is from the Region II Final, won in PK’s on June 14th at the SLYSA Complex. A scoreless draw that went to PK’s won in dramatic fashion when Kierstyn Weaver (Trinity) buried the winning PK, with Olivia Jordan (Winfield) in goal.
Macie has signed to play at Rockhurst for the Hawks, joining the large group of St. Louis recruits the Hawk’s attract to their campus in Kansas City. She also played basketball for the Warriors, a team that lost to eventual State Champion Incarnate Word in the Quarterfinals. She is also a member of the National Honor Society at Warrenton.
Congratulations to Macie and good luck as her final season with the Warrenton Warriors soccer program comes to an end soon, to be followed by a college career at a top Midwestern program.
