There’s a paucity of news on the US Soccer website regarding the current U15 Boys National Team camp underway this week in Carson CA. Regardless, I can confirm that Logan Panchot (pictured) is once again in attendance, continuing his development under the watchful eye of Head Coach Richie Williams now.
Williams, who last visited St Louis with the U17 BNT for their game against SLSG Missouri Academy, takes control of the 1998 age group with an eye towards their development for the 2015 U17 World Cup, to be held in Chile.
UPDATE – 44 Players Named to US U15 BNT Training Camp where Logan is one of the 26 who also participated in the week long camp in March that is mentioned.
UPDATE – Top Drawer covered US U15 BNT Easily Tops Local Academy where Logan was one of the first 11, playing the first half in a 5-0 win over Pateadores
If a youth national team is to be judged by the cohesion and quality of the top 18 players on the roster, the U.S. U15 Boys National Team looked like a squad ready to take on any challengers on Wednesday at the StubHub Center in the first scrimmages of the weeklong camp in Southern California.
Following completion of this camp, a select group will be chosen to participate in the 2nd Copa México de Naciones, a U15 tournament that will run from August 10th through 18th. The US will face Brasil, Panama and Uruguay in group play August 10-12 followed by quarterfinals, semifinals and the final on August 18th that will be held in Azteca Stadium.
Unfortunately the schedule precludes participation in the new CONCACAF U15 Championship being held in the Cayman Islands in August.
