While the league and non-conference matches were starting to heat up, CBC Head Coach Terry Michler notched his 900th career win while head coach at CBC at Chaminade on Saturday.
This Week in the MCC
CBC – the Cadets began their week on Wednesday at rival SLUH, coming up short in a 2-1 defeat, with their lone goal from Sam Leach. They bounced back with a 2-0 victory at Lindbergh on Thursday, with goals from Max Steffen and Bryce Starzyk and the shutout from John Huber. On Saturday Coach Michler picked up his 900th win a hard-fought 2-1 OT victory over Chaminade, with a tying goal from AJ Palazzolo in regulation and the game winner from EJ Verhulst in the first OT.

Chaminade – the Red Devils hosted Hazelwood West on Wednesday and pulled away with a 5-0 victory, on goals by Ryan Matteo (2), Anthony Aegerter, AJ Anthon and Mitch Mosby, with the shutout shared by Joe Mitchell and JP Winkler. On Saturday the Cadets of CBC visited Chaminade in an MCC matchup and the Red Devils came up short 2-1 in OT, with the Chaminade goal from Ryan Matteo.
Desmet – the Spartans opened their season in fine fashion on Tuesday with a 1-0 win over Francis Howell Central, with the game-winning goal from Andrew DeGreef and shutout from Connor Range. Desmet hosted Eureka on Thursday but were on the short side of the ledger and were shut out 1-0. Traveled to Wentzville to take on Timberland on Saturday and came away with a 4-1 victory with goals from Griffin Morgan, Matt Yankowitz, Nick Hanson and Charlie Gibbs.

SLUH – the Jr. Bills took an early lead in trying to capture the MCC title with their second league victory, this time over CBC 2-1 on Wednesday at SLUH, with goals from Trey Haman and Will Minnick.
Vianney – traveled to St. Dominic on Saturday and their offense was in mid-season form, defeating the Crusaders 7-2. Goals aplenty from Brandon Love (4), Carter Cassell, Sean Michel and Steven Bibas.

Chaminade -the Red Devils host a pair of regional powers, as Peoria (IL) Notre Dame visits on Friday and Marquette (WI) plays at Chaminade on Saturday
Desmet – the Spartans host Rockwood Summit on Thursday and travel west to St. Charles to take on Francis Howell North on Saturday
SLUH – the Jr. Bills drive over to (Waterloo) Gibault on Tuesday, then travel to Jefferson City on Friday for a contest with the Jays before hosting St. Xavier (Louisville, KY) on Saturday
Vianney – the Golden Griffins take part in the annual Clayton Shootout, with matches on Tuesday vs. St. Mary’s (at Clayton), on Wednesday at Kirkwood, and on Thursday at the host school (Clayton). Vianney finishes the week on Saturday at Webster Groves.
CBC – the Cadets travel to Francis Howell North on Tuesday and host Fort Zumwalt South on Thursday
