It’s a report, still to be confirmed by Saint Louis FC but the source is very reliable – Evan Ream, the beat writer for Preki’s prior gig, as Head Coach for Sacramento Republic FC
BREAKING: I can confirm that Preki will rejoin the coaching ranks in American soccer as St. Louis FC's next coach

Saint Louis FC will hold a press conference at @KirkwoodStation at 6 pm on October 12th to introduce the team’s next Head Coach.

Evan’s added a number of additional tweets concerning Preki’s situation since leaving Sacremento midway through the 2015 season. The situation even generated a #WheresPreki hashtag and Twitter account. The gist is that he anticipated taking a job in one of Europe’s top 3 leagues once a team was purchased by his friend and countrymate Milan Mandaric.
Preki led Sacramento to the USL Title in their first season in 2014 and was the 2007 Major League Soccer Coach of the Year. Another story worth checking out is this from Sports Illustrated, describing the team as
The Republic players, a collection of locals, minor-league lifers and MLS castoffs who gelled so successfully under former Toronto FC and Chivas USA manager Preki Radosavljevic
How does that description fit with his future employer, Saint Louis FC?
I’m a huge fan from his days with the KC Wizards and the work he did with Chivas when Jesse Marsch was a captain (former Chicago Fire) and now Head Coach of the New York Red Bulls. Even more important however is this – Preki Delivers a Parting Shot to American Soccer. I welcome our new overlord!
