Where are they Now – 2014 MAC Girls High School Soccer All-Stars

2017-12-28 by Ole

2014-06-28 MAC St Louis Senior Girls High School Soccer All-Stars match at Soccer Park

Head Coach Maureen McVey with Kaley Neiters, Alli Magaletta, Nina Simon & Natalie Sims

Where are they now? I take a look at the 2014 MAC Girls High School Soccer All-Stars along with the Metro Players of the Year from that season. One player captured a D3 National Championship while another reached the NCAA Division Final. Then there is the lass that tied their D1 programs career games played while knocking off SLU in their last college match.

For those who pursued college careers, this is the end of their four years and it’s a good look back. A second reason for this post – how many of these talented players initial decision changed during that four year period? Consider it a recruiting story as we look to see how much change occurred for this subset of the Class of 2014/2018.

In addition to the All-Stars, I also added the players recognized by the Post-Dispatch as All-Metro to see if there was a difference in the results. That analysis can be found below the table listing the players.

The 2014 MAC Girls High School All-Stars was played on June 28, 2014 at St. Louis Soccer Park. A Photo Gallery from the game can be found below.

North 1, South 0
North MVP: Bridgette Reilly, Duchesne
South MVP: Alli Magaletta, St. Joseph
Sam Copple Goalkeeper of the Year: Megan Swanson, St. Dominic

Maureen McVey of St Joseph and Dick Westbrook of Visitation helmed the South squad while the North team was coached by Greg Koeller and Mark Olwig.

Note – report is incomplete but will be finished by Friday evening.
