The second match of the day (for me) Saturday featured the 2002 SLSG Elite boys against Galaxy SC. The locals won 2-1 on a brace by Seth Anderson, one of at least three boys who moved over to Elite this year from JB Marine Mann (now Elite and coached by Tom Pardo) who are also part of the Club-v-Club division. Anderson got his first in the 59th minute when he was sent in on the right and he was able to turn towards goal before slotting his shot past the keeper to the far side netting. He got his second only four minutes later when a throw-in by Jim Sanchez (also former JBM) deep in the offensive end gave Anderson the opportunity to break in on goal from the left. As he moved across the face of the net he cut his shot back to the near post to beat the keeper. MWC 2002: Seth Anderson Brace Propels SLSG Elite

The game finished 2-1 as Elite played a man down the final ten minutes as Joseph Hipskind had a second yellow. That led to some extended pressure by the Galaxy and a penalty kick to narrow the lead.
