With the end of the Saint Louis FC season, and the team being shut down, Head Coach Steve Trittschuh Named STLFC Academy Director. In a move I suggested was possible earlier this month, Trittschuh confirmed his plans during a video interview with Joshua McGehee (see below). He will stay with Scott Gallagher and take over as the Academy Director. Steve Trittschuh Named STLFC Academy Director
I discussed this possibility with Dale Schilly last Saturday and he was kind enough to outline the new organization chart for me. Dale will move out of his interim Academy Director role and return to his role of Technical Director for the club. On the boys side, Brad Davis is the Club Director for Missouri Boys and underneath him will be Trittschuh in his role as the Academy Director.
The Academy boys played their first home games of the season on Saturday when they hosted the Indiana Fire Juniors, albeit at the Missouri Rush Complex. I wrote about the U19 boys dramatic win and I’ll find some time soon to provide an update on the season once they get a bit further along. Only three games played thus far and no visibility in the schedule as to when they will play next. I’m afraid MLS Next is still working on the details.
