Ava Tankersley Named SEC All-Freshman Team, SEC Tourney Opens

2020-11-13 by Ole

SEC-Freshman-recognition-2020

Congratulations to Ava Tankersley (2nd from left) of Arkansas

The SEC Tournament opens today, Friday, Nov. 13, with first round play seeing No. 14 LSU vs. No. 11 Alabama at 6 p.m. cT and No. 13 Florida vs. No. 12 Kentucky at 8:30 p.m. No. 5 Missouri and No. 6 Ole Miss will await the winners in the second round on Sunday, Nov. 17, which will also feature No. 10 Mississippi State vs. No. 7 Vanderbilt at 1 p.m. and No. 9 Georgia vs. No. 8 Auburn at 6 p.m. I have all of the games in my Socer on TV calendar and you can watch either on the SEC Network (611 on DirecTV) or via ESPN.com/Watch/ I get the satellite channel as part of the Sports Package and I also have the ESPN+ subscription, you’ll have to confirm your alternatives. I pay $50/annually for ESPN+ and it’s one of the best deals I’ve come across. It looks like there’s also a Disney+ package for $70/annually that gets you Hulu, Disney+ and ESPN+ if you need another excuse 🙂 Ava Tankersley Named SEC All-Freshman Team

Before continuing on the SEC Tournament, let’s take a moment to congratulate Ava Tankersley (FZS/SLSG ECNL) for her SEC recognition. “Tank” started 7 games, playing in all 8 this shortened season as the team went 7-1, finishing with the best record in the SEC and topping the West Division. She scored three goals and had one assist. Her first goal was a memorable one against Alabama, a game-winning goal in overtime. She finished third on the team in scoring with 7 points.
