Story – FC Cincinnati brings in top scorer Heinemann
Heinemann brings an impressive resume that includes NASL and USL titles and a USL MVP nod.

Heinemann, a St. Louis native, played with NASL champions San Francisco Deltas last year and was the team’s top scorer with 10 goals to go along with two assists over 31 appearances that included the club’s championship run. He also scored twice in three matches in U.S. Open Cup action.

2017 Feb 6 – Tom Heineman signed with SF Deltas of NASL

Tom Heinemann signed with the Tampa Bay Rowdies on December 14, 2015.

Heinemann spent the previous two seasons with Ottawa Fury FC, including leading the club to an appearance in the NASL Championship Final in 2015 with four total postseason goals. Heinemann departed Ottawa as the club’s all-time leading goalscorer with 18 goals in total.

The 28-year old forward is originally from St. Louis, Missouri and began his professional career with the Charleston Battery in 2009. Heinemann played for the Carolina RailHawks in 2010, scoring six goals in 12 matches for the NASL side before moving on to Major League Soccer.

Heinemann played for the Columbus Crew from 2011 to 2012, before making his way to the Vancouver Whitecaps FC in 2013, moving to Ottawa for the 2014-2015 seasons.

2014 May 31 – Heinemann scores game-winner in return to Fury lineup following injury
Tom Heinemann was so ecstatic that he kissed a pitchside camera lens after scoring the goal that gave Ottawa Fury FC a 1-0 win in the newest battle of Canada.

A striker, the St. Louis, MO native featured in 14 games for the Whitecaps last season after beginning his MLS career in Columbus in 2011 playing two seasons and 31 games for the Crew. Some other highlights for Heinemann included helping the Charleston Battery to the USL-2 championship in 2010 and being a central piece in the Carolina RailHawks run to the final – also in 2010 – where he was named MVP of the championship game.

2013 November – Whitecaps Contract Updates
Whitecaps FC signed striker Tommy Heinemann, 26, in January 2013 from Columbus Crew. The St. Louis, Missouri, native scored two goals and added one assist in 16 first team appearances with Whitecaps FC this past season. His contract was declined for 2014.

2010 – Began 2010 with the Charleston Battery (USL-2), starting 21 of 25 matches… Recorded eight goals and seven assists on his way to helping the Battery to a USL-2 Champion season. He was the MVP of the Championship match.

A few weeks after winning the championship with Charleston, he signed a short-term contract with the Carolina Railhawks (North Carolina) of the NASL (2nd Division). He scored 6 goals in 12 appearances with the club, leading them to the NASL Championship game.

2009 – Heinemann signed his first professional contract with the Charleston Battery (South Carolina) of the USL (3rd Division) in 2009. Scoring one goal in his rookie year, Heinemann made his splash in 2010

He debuted as a professional with the Saint Louis Lions (PDL) in 2006 and totaled an impressive 35 goals in 37 matches played over three seasons.

COLLEGE
Attended Rockhurst University where he was a walk-on. He played from 2006 to 2008. He was named to the NSCAA All-American team in 2007 and 2008. In his three seasons at Rockhurst, Heinemann accumulated 36 goals and 21 assists for 93 points.
