Arsenal St. Louis supporters, aka Gateway Gooners, enjoying the match at Llywelyn’s Pub in Webster Groves, MO on January 20, 2018

The Gateway Gooners have a new home for 2018 following the closure of Barrister’s. They have settled in quite well at Llywelyn’s Pub in Webster Groves who reached out to them about becoming their new home. I visited on January 20th for the Crystal Palace match and things went well obviously.

The @GatewayGooners have a new home and that as well as today's results (4-0 after 25) have them in an especially good mood at @LlywelynsPubs in Webster Groves pic.twitter.com/39sg9S8rwZ

I also featured the Supporters with a report on this website to celebrate their new home, now offering a new option for St. Louis.

Rick Hicks and JP Thompson, founders of Gateway Gooners outside Llywelyn’s Pub on January 20, 2018

I had a good chat with Rick Hicks and JP Thompson, founders of Gateway Gooners chapter of Arsenal America. Listen to it here >
Gateway Gooners intro

They fill me in on the Barrister’s closing and the outreach they had from a number of bars looking to be their new home for viewing games. They had some basic requirements that included access to the necessary channels, opening for all games and they wanted a central location. They found all that and more with Webster Groves where the Pub offers a Brunch Menu beginning at 9am (pic at the bottom). For earlier games, the Gooners bring donuts to enjoy with their libations 🙂

Here are links for the Gateway Gooners and Llywelyn’s. Check them out and let them know you heard about the goings on here at SoccerSTL.
